Funeral services for Lorraine R. Mohr, 86, East Moline, are 10 AM Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. John's Cemetery, Rapids City, IL. Visitation is 4-7PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 4 PM. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Church, East Moline or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Lorraine died Sunday, December 03, 2006 at Illini Hospital, Silvis. Lorraine Hunt was born December 31, 1919 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of John and Rose (Johnson) Hunt. She married Jacob "Jake" Mohr, April 17, 1942 in Hampton. Together they farmed and later built and ran Golf Mohr Golf Course for many years. Jake died October 12, 1994. Lorraine had served as Democratic Precinct committeewoman for over 20 years and was a devoted volunteer of the Illini Hospital Auxilliary. Survivors include her children and spouses Geraldine and Robert Bennicoff, McFarland, WI, Patricia and Arnie Arnold, Ernal, NC, and Robert and Cindy Mohr, Port Byron, IL grandchildren Eugene, Daniel and Christina, a great granddaughter Nichole, and dear friend Sue Glanz, East Moline. Her husband, son John and a granddaughter Carrie Sue, precedes her in death.
