Louise M. Slonecker, 96, of Silvis, died Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at home. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. Visitation will take place the night prior Wednesday, May 25, 2022, 4-7PM at Van Hoe Funeral Home, LTD. A rosary service will be recited prior at 3:30PM. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, St. Jude's Hospital, and the American Cancer Association.

Louise was born on February 14, 1926, in Seward, NE, the daughter of John and Emma (Hemsath) Fosler. She married Raymond M. Slonecker July 7, 1947 in Seward, NE. He preceded her in death in 1980. She worked as an activity director at the East Moline State Hospital.

Survivors include her children, Frank (Cathy) Slonecker, Cape Coral, FL, Karla Lee, Silvis, Karen (Mike) Johnson, Reno, NV, Michael (MaryBeth) Slonecker, Silvis; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond, grandson, Shawn Lee, her siblings, Dorthea Kelsey and Fred Bruns, and her daughter-in-law, Linda Slonecker.
