Louise died Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Unity Point, Rock Island, IL. Louise began bringing joy into the lives of others on December 1, 1928, in Moline, IL, beginning with her parents, Gus and Marguerite Vande Keere Huyvaert. Louise graduated from The Villa de Chantal High School in Rock Island, IL making many life long "Villa girlfriends". She married Ralph Lambrecht in 1949. She later married Richard Stritesky in 1979. He died in 1984. She had worked at John Deere Spreader Works, Moline, had co-owned Landuit's Lake, Joslin, IL. After her many years at the "The Lake", Louise worked for Dr. Schmidt DDS and Dr. G. Govindaiah MD. Louise found much joy in traveling around the country visiting family, singing in the church choir and playing cards with her lady friends. She was also active in the Alter Society, member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, and Belgian Culture Center where she took much joy and pride in participating in the annual Raisin Bread Bake-offs. Anyone who knew Louise understood that her family came first. She left a legacy of how to love unconditionally, how to give hugs, how to brighten a room with her smile, and how to make everyone feel special. To say she had a gift for cooking and baking is an understatement. Many are those who sat around her table in her "pink palace" to enjoy food, stories, and laughter. Her generous spirit will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Survivors include her sons Greg (Cheryl) Lambrecht, Morton, IL, Gary (Zoe) Lambrecht, Valrico, FL; daughters, Joyce (Dennis) Sedam, Centennial, CO, Diane (Steve) Charles, Santa Barbara, CA, and Beth (Kirk) Wainwright, Hillsdale, IL; "honorary son", Jerry (Marsha) Irvine, Moline; 13 grandchildren (her "Bakers Dozen"); 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a sister, Elsie (Joe) Flynn, CA. Louise is also survived by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of longtime friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Robert Huyvaert, and great grandson Junior Sulzbach. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.vanhoe.com
