Lucille M. Schwartz, 87, East Moline, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at the home of her daughter Alice in East Moline. Visitation is 5-7PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, with a time of sharing at 6:30PM. Graveside services are 11 AM Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Tama, IA. Memorials may be made to the Red Cross. Lucille Moyer was born, April 10, 1925 in Tama County, IA, the daughter of Amiel and Alice (Schafer) Moyer. She married Walter E. Schwartz on October 27, 1946 in Davenport, IA. Walter died October 9, 2000. Lucille had worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Morris Muhleman and Dr. C.P. O'Neill. Lucille was always doing things for those she loved. Her past time was flowers, sewing and genealogy. She was a member of the Mary Little Deere-Fort Armstrong Chapter, Moline and DAR. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Larry Lagaisse of East Moline, IL, sons and daughter-in-law, Steve and Kathlyn Schwartz of Whitewright, TX, Thomas and Brenda Schwartz of Milan, IL, grandchildren, Bryan Whittington, Victoria Thomas, Jason Schwartz, Shawn Schwartz, Kimber Sheffler, John Lagaisse, Jeff Lagaisse, Jeremy Selting, Delia Schwartz, and thirteen great-grandchildren, and sister Eleanor Tomlinson, Gilman, IA . She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter, daughter Barbara Whittington, her grandson, Charles Whittington and her brother Carroll Moyer.
