Lydia Moreno, 76, Silvis, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at her home. Funeral services are 10 AM Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, with committal at Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 3PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Lydia Ramirez was born August 3, 1942 in Davenport, the daughter of Manuel and Juanita (Juarez) Ramirez. She married Robert Moreno on June 9, 1962 in Davenport. He died July 13, 2014. Mrs. Moreno had worked at Black Hawk College and Allen Montessori. Survivors include her children; Anna Moreno, Silvis, and Debbie (Jorge) Sosa, Tucson, AZ; son, Victor Moreno, Silvis; grandchildren, Nicolas Riojas, Adrian Riojas, Marisa Dobbeleare, Mimi Moreno, Julian Sosa, and Mia Sosa; and siblings, Pauline Medina, East Moline, Tony (Jane) Ramirez, Davenport, Mary Ann Mejorado, Davenport, Lucy (Jim) Seusy, Vallejo, CA, Helen (Maurice) Doeckel, Port Byron, IL, Mike Ramirez, Springfield, OH, Margaret Overton, Davenport, Chris (Raul) Tamayo, Davenport, Manuel Ramirez Jr., Davenport, Ramona Garcia, Davenport and Connie (Ray) Lohf, Davenport.
