Funeral services for Mable "Jane" Glenn, 92, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Monday at Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline. Burial will be in Biggsville Cemetery, Biggsville, IL, at 2:00PM on Monday. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00PM Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mrs. Glenn died Monday, March 12, 2012 at Amber Ridge Memory Care, Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, where she had been an active member. Jane was born June 28, 1919 in Burlington, IA, the daughter of Adam and Anna Mable Staley Sloan. She married Harvey "Edward" Glenn July 21, 1945 in Biggsville. She graduated with honors from Western Illinois University. She then taught at several schools in Illinois, retiring from United Township High School in 1979. She was a dedicated and passionate teacher. Survivors include her husband, Ed Glenn of East Moline; several nieces and nephews; many friends and special care giver, Laura Meyers-DePaepe. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Wendell Sloan. The family would like to thank the staff at Amber Ridge Memory Care for their attention and concern.
