Madeline Goethals, 94, East Moline, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at Aspen Health and Rehab, Silvis. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 27, 2006 at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Church or to a favorite charity. There will be no visitation. Madeline was born May 30, 1912 in Ruysselede, Belgium, the daughter of Cyrille and Euphasia (Lambrecht) Goethals. She was a Deere & Co., retiree. Survivors include a brother-in-law Herb Wood, Port Byron, nieces (spouse) Melanie Wood, East Moline, MaryBeth (John) Rylander, Port Byron, and Gretchen (Louis) Petersen Bessiere, a nephew (spouse) John and (Nancy) Wood, Larkspur, CO, five great nieces and 2 great-great nieces.
