Funeral services for Madeline M. Morel, 92, East Moline, are 10 AM Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Entombment is in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 4PM. Mrs. Morel died Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at St. Anthony's Continuing Care Center, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Church or to Arrowhead Ranch, Coal Valley. Madeline Lefevre was born January 8, 1915 in East Moline, the daughter of Cyril and Romaine (LaPeere) Lefevre. She married Frank "Fargo" Morel on July 4, 1935 at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. He died March 1, 1978. She had worked at the former Licorice Factory and Lutheran Hospital and later managed the Fargo Silver Inn, Carbon Cliff. She was a member and past president of the Ridgewood Tower Social Club and a member of the Chaterway Card Club. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Gene and Diane Morel, Rock Island, Frank and Sandy Morel, Rock Island and Charles and Cathy Morel, DeWitt, IA, grandchildren; Susie Morel, Michelle Martens, Jenny Morel, Nikki Morel, Brian Morel, Steve Morel, Michael Morel, Scott Morel and Frank Morel, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, brothers; Alphonse and George Lefevre and sisters; Margaret Jenkins and Laura Skiles.
