Manuel A. "Monnie" Rico, 30, of Moline, passed away Saturday December 9, 2017 at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island. Funeral services are 10:00AM Friday December 15, 2017 at St. Anne Catholic Church in East Moline. Visitation will be held from 4:00PM to 7:00PM on Thursday December 14, 2017 at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., in East Moline where memorials may be made to his family. A rosary will be recited at 3:00PM prior to visitation at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Monnie was born August 15, 1987 in Moline a son of Juan Rico, and Lisa Zeppuhar. He graduated from Dodgeland High School in Juno, WI class of 2005. He married Kayla Kundert on July 4, 2015 in Madison, WI. He worked for several area business as a machine operator, and was currently employed at Vizient Manufacturing Solutions in Bettendorf, Iowa. He enjoyed football, being an avid Denver Broncos fan; being with family, family cookouts and get-togethers. He also enjoyed spending time with his daughter Aubrie, Facebooking, and traveling with his special friend Bianca Lule who was his rock. He had a very big heart, and was always there for advice, which showed through in his love of playing with his nieces and nephews. Noe Almanza Corona (former step-father), shared a very close relationship with our son, Manuel Rico, they shared many memories fishing together. Monnie enjoyed helping Noe with his job of insulating on weekends occasionally. Noe and Monnie shared a father-son relationship. Survivors include his wife, Kayla of Wisconsin, children: Aubrie with one on the way due in July with Bianca; his brother: Javier (Tiffany) Rico of Moline; sister: Becky (LaCharles) Pryor of East Moline; mother and step-father: Lisa (Jerry) Zeppuhar of East Moline; father: Juan Rico of GTO, Magdalena, Mexico; his special friend Bianca Lule and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. He was especially close to his maternal grandmother, Betty Hernandez before her passing away.
