Funeral services for Marcella M. DeBuysere, 100, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:00AM Wednesday, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00 -7:00 pm Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30 pm. Mrs. DeBuysere died Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis. Marcella DeSutter was born October 21, 1915, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Maurice and Mary Grymonprez DeSutter. She married Maurice DeBuysere November 27, 1937, in Rapids City, IL. He died March 5, 1999. Marcella was the oldest of eight children. She farmed for most of her life. Their family farmed in the New Windsor and Alexis areas. She worked at Research Hospital and later retired from the East Moline State Hospital in 1979. She had been a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Jean Cornett, WA; sons, Richard (Kay) DeBuysere, Butler, TN, Michael (Joyce) DeBuysere, Marion, TX, and John (Janice) DeBuysere, Moline, IL; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Irene Nelson, Abingdon, IL; brother, Maurice (Darlene) DeSutter, Woodhull, IL; daughter-in-law, Ruth, Independence, MO; and brother-in-law Jim Bugos, Alpha, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Daniel Paul DeBuysere; son-in-law, Wayne Cornett; sisters, Angeline and Marian; and brothers, Sylviere, Joe and Francis. The family wishes to thank the staff of Crosstown Square, Illini Restorative Care Center and Genesis Hospice for their wonderful care of Marcella. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
