?Marcella M. Norris, 86, of Fort Armstrong Rock Island, formerly of Silvis, IL, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00PM Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Interment will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. Marcella May "Sook" Keith was born May 17, 1924 in West Liberty, IA, the daughter of William and Velva Dunlap Keith. She married Amos Norris March 15, 1940 in Muscatine, IA. He died July 25, 2002. She had been a loving homemaker, who's life revolved around her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling, dancing and music. She and her husband had played in a band, "The Ding-a-lings." Upon retirement they would spend their summers in Minnesota and winters in Arkansas. She loved ice cream. Survivors include her daughters, Carla (Charlie) Stevens of Zepher Hills, FL and Diana Whiting of Rock Island, IL; son, Mike (Bette) Norris of East Moline, 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Barb (Elmer) DeGood of Iowa City, IA, Bonnie (Fred) King of IA, Lucile Nealson of IA; brothers, Stan (Connie) Keith, Bill Keith of Rock Island, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters, Sandy Sellers and Frances "Faye" Buckallew, 3 grandchildren, sister, Betty Huckstead; brothers, Verne and Henry Keith.
