Marcella Mary Rowe 89 died Tuesday October 30th, 2018 at Hope Creek Care Center East Moline, IL. Marcella was born June 5th, 1929, the daughter of Lorenz and Leone Freund in Davenport, IA. As per her wishes Cremation will take place. Arrangements are being handled by Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, Il. Marcella was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, East Moline, IL. A mass in her name will be said at a later date. In 1987, after many years of study, she graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She was employed as a Technical Manual Writer at the Rock Island Arsenal; and, later worked at the Tank Automotive Command in Warren, MI. She retired in 1993 after 27 years of service. Card playing was at the top of her list and she enjoyed 50 years of friendship with her card club. She also spent time reading, doing crossword puzzles and followed college basketball season through the NCAA tournament. Survivors include her son Greg Rowe, East Moline, daughter-in-law Rebecca Rowe, Lake St. Louis, MO, granddaughter Laura Rowe (Andy), O'Fallon, MO; and a brother Kenneth Freund, Walcott, IA.
