Marcella L. “Sally” Wadsager, 84, of East Moline, IL, passed away Monday August 31, 2026 at Park Vista, East Moline.

A Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2026, at Divine Mercy Parish at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 23rd, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Ann Wadsager Special Needs Trust.

Sally was born February 26, 1942, in Moline, Illinois to Marcel and Margaret (Vormezeele) Monstrey. She married Richard “George” Wadsager on June 17, 1961, at St. Mary Catholic Church, East Moline.

Sally was a devoted wife, mother, and an advocate for her special needs daughter.

Surviving are her husband, George, East Moline; son, Scott (Janet) Wadsager, Davenport; daughters, Ann Wadsager, East Moline and Christy Krenek, Santa Fe, NM; grandchildren, Evan, Erik, Kaylyan, and Connor; siblings, Lois (Dennis) Pauley, Rock Island, and Dave (Kathy) Monstrey, Traverse City, MI, and their families.

Marcella is preceded in death by her parents, Marcel and Margaret.
