Marcella Madeline Skramstad, 75, Milan, died Friday, April 8, 2005 at the home of her daughter Susan in Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or to Parkinson's Research. At her request her body will be cremated following visitation. A memorial service will be held 11 AM Thursday at First Christian Church, East Moline, where she was a member. She was born December 7, 1929 in Burlington, IA, the daughter of Albert G. and Madeline H (Mosena) Heckenberg. She married Donald Olaf Skramstad, February 5, 1949 in Burlington. He died May 8, 2001. Marcella had worked as a waitress at several businesses in the Burlington area. She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of the Red Hat Ladies. She had enjoyed bowling. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law Susan and Clark Jenkins, Moline, and Caryl J. Skramstad, Viola, IL, son Albert Pete Skramstad, Rock Island, grandchildren and spouses Shawn E. Jenkins, Cory W. and Amber Jenkins and Marcie S.and William Schafer, Phillip Skramstad, Nicholas Skramstad and Thomas Skramstad, 10 great grandchildren and brothers Albert Heckenberg, Danville, IA, Edwin J.
