Marcia DeBlieck was born March 20, 1952, in Moline, the daughter of Francis and Mary Verstraete DeBlieck. She went on to marry Thomas Minick October 21, 1979, after a courtship that began at the merrygoround at Farmall IH.
Marcia held many titles in her life including but not limited to an assembler at Farmall IH , where she met her devoted husband Tom. A position near and dear to her heart, with the Moline School District as a custodian for over 17 years where she also served as a union officer for AFSCME Local 672. As well as several miscellaneous jobs when needed. Out of all the titles she held, she was most proud of mother and wife.
She enjoyed her life to the fullest. Filling her time with family and friends. This could include anything from cards, to dinners, and maybe a little slots here and there. Her most joy came from spending time with her husband, children and grands. Nothing made her smile more than the laughter of her great grand daughter.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she attended services regularly until her physical limitations wouldn't allow.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Minick, Moline; daughter, Octavia Tousseau, East Moline; grandchildren, Donavyn (Moriah )Tousseau, Thomas (Kira) Tousseau, Nano Sepeda, Moziah Tousseau, and Ava Moen; great grand daughter, Naiomi Tousseau; and brother, Kenneth (Patricia) DeBlieck, Moline.
She was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Mary, her brothers James and Gregory DeBlieck. As well as her son Luke Minick.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
