Memorial services for Marco A. Ruvalcaba, Jr., 44, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00 am Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Mr. Ruvalcaba died Saturday, June 2, 2018, at home. Marco was born December 4, 1973, in Moline, IL, the son of Marco and Patricia Diaz Ruvalcaba. He was a graduate of United Township High School. He had worked for Dish Network as an installer. He opened Fighters First Gym in Moline and was able to realize his dream by helping kids get off the street. He enjoyed woodworking and engraving. He loved to cook for friends and family. Survivors include his children, Paige (Jordan) Seibel, Davenport, IA, and Antonio Ruvalcaba; a granddaughter; his mother, Patricia (Steve) Gooch, East Moline; siblings, Jessica Taets, Carbon Cliff, IL, Brandon (Anna) Taets, Holland, MI, and Kyle Taets, Carbon Cliff; several aunts, uncles cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Memorials may be made to the family.
