?Funeral services for Mardee Blunke, 69, Silvis, are 10 AM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 2-5PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mardee died Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Mardee was born January 26, 1942 in Muscatine, IA, the daughter of Robert and Bertha (Smith) Freese. She retired as an LPN from Aspen Health and Rehab, Silvis. She married John "Skip" Blunke on February 14, 1989 in Hampton. Mardee enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and going to the Silvis Library. Survivors include her husband Skip, children; Burl Anderson, Silvis, Cheri Hafner,Benton, Kentucky, Renee Waugh, Rock Island, Sean Johnson, East Moline, Theresa Johnson, Davenport, Shannon Harris, Moline, David Johnson, Colona, and James Johnson, Colona, step son John Paul Blunke, Blue Springs, MO, twenty one grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a sisters: Karen Wutzke, Bakersfield, California and Susan Blair, West Palm Beach, FL. She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother Helen Freese, 3 brothers and a grandson.
