Funeral services for Margaret M. Carpio, 74, of East Moline, IL will be 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Friday (today) at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM. Mrs. Carpio died Wednesday, April 09, 2008 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. Memorials may be made to Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley. Margaret Segobiano was born February 9, 1934 in East Moline, the daughter of John and Mary (Serano) Segobiano. She married Joseph Carpio February 12, 1955 in St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. She had worked for Adolph's Taco House, Moline, IL, for many years. She had been a volunteer at Oak Glen Home, where she received an award from the State of Illinois as Volunteer of the Year. She loved to sew, quilt, and cook. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include: her husband, Joe Carpio of East Moline, IL; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Laurie Carpio Jr., Bettendorf, IA; grandchildren, Philip, Brittney, and Payton Carpio all at home; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Ramon Bernal of Sterling, IL, Juanita and Ernesto Rodriquez of Davenport, IA; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Segobiano of Sterling, Alfonso Segobiano of Sterling, Joseph and Carol Segobiano of Sterling, Robert and Mary Ann Segobiano of Chicago, IL; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Rose Coss and Nellie Lopez, brother, Pete Segobiano. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.vanhoe.com.
