Funeral services for Margaret Jeane Davis, 85, East Moline, are 1PM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7PM Thursday at the funeral home. Margaret died Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, where she was a member. Margaret Crawford was born on January 26, 1925 in Fairfield, IA, the daughter of Floyd and Audrey (Rowland) Crawford. She married Arthur G. "Pete" Davis on June 21, 1944 in New London, CT. He died on October 14, 1983. Mrs. Davis had worked as a beautician. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her children Arthur "Art" (Sue) Davis, Colona and Joan Wright, Moline, grandchildren: Darlene Thorndyke, Christopher Davis, Jessica (Josh) Lopez and Debbie Wright, great-grandchildren; Rachel Rose and Rylie Jeane, brothers Roger (Joyce) Nevins, Carbon Cliff, and William (Barb) Nevins, Leavenworth, WA and sister Beverly (Wayne) Skelton, Port Byron, IL. She is preceded in death by her husband, infant son Bruce Davis and sisters Lois Conkle and Betty Bascall. The family would like to thank the staff at Hope Creek for the loving care given to Margaret during her stay there.
