Margaret A Gustafson, 96, Rock Island, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at her home. Funeral services are 10 AM Thursday, June 12, 2014 at First Baptist Church, Silvis. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or to Pregnancy Resources, 829 15th Street, Moline. Margaret Samuelson was born on July 30, 1917 in Moline, the daughter of John and Elvira (Holmberg) Samuelson. She married Lester "Bim" Gustafson on November 28, 1935 in Moline. He passed away on November 6, 2011, just short of their 76th wedding anniversary. Margaret loved her family and was very devoted to her church. Her final thoughts and hopes were for those whom she loved would have Jesus in their hearts. Survivors include her children, Gary (Janet) Gustafson, Orion, IL, Kirk (Deborah) Gustafson, Moline, Marcia (Larry) Frakes, Sunset Beach, NC and Chris (Bruce) Barker, Rock Island, grandchildren, Diane (Steve) Peake, Corrie (Spencer) Punter, Kristy (Tom) Witmer, Bram (Tawnie) Gustafson, Brandon (Rachel) Gustafson, Amy (Scott) Schaberg, Aron (Tracy) Frakes, Tricia Barker, and Bryan Barker; great-grandchildren, Katie, Eden, and Hannah Peake, Samuel Punter, Grace and Grady Witmer, Elijah, Olivia, and Ewan Gustafson, Holly, Ethan, and Heath Schaberg, Noah, Austin, Owen and Jackson Frakes, and her sister Irma Hessell, Silvis. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her loving stepfather, Richard Holmberg, granddaughter Andrea Gustafson, sister Svea Miller and brother Jack Samuelson.
