Funeral services for Margaret M. Keith, 87, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30. Mrs. Keith died Monday, October 24, 2011 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Margaret was born February 25, 1924 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Adiel and Marie DelForge DeRoo. She married James D. Keith June 7, 1947 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. He died September 11, 1998. She had worked in the cafeteria at Ridgewood School, East Moline for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who always put others before herself. She enjoyed swimming, walking, fishing, and feeding the birds (she knew each bird by name). She loved going out to eat with her friends and always with family. She knew God as her Savior and loved going to church. Survivors include her daughters, Kathy (Steve) Gelande, Hampton, IL, Nancy (Duane) Gosa, Colona; sons, Tom (Julie) Keith, Moline, Michael (Robin) Keith, Cordova, IL; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lois DeRoo of Olathe, KS.
