Margaret Launius, 94, East Moline, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment is in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 2 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Church, where she was a member. Margaret Locy was born on May 6, 1919, in Minneota, Minnesota, the daughter of Phil and Emily Bochaert Locy. She married Everett Launius in 1951. He died in 1979. Margaret retired in 1974 from the paint department of the former International Harvester after 30 years with the company. She was a member of St. Anne Church and the East End Boulder's Club. Survivors include her grandson, Richard (Amy) Launius and their three children; grandson, Terry, granddaughter, Michelle, and their children; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Lindell; son, Clyde Launius; and 11 brothers and sisters.
