Margaret M "Margie" VanDerLinden, 74, of Cambridge, IL, formerly of Silvis and East Moline, IL, died Saturday, January 17, 2009 at her daughter's home, where she had resided for the last 2 and ½ months. As per her wishes there will be no services. Margie was born August 9, 1934 in Pocahontas, Ark., the daughter of Roy and Hazel (McPearson) Kellett. She came to Illinois in 1950 when she, married her children's father, James Robert Young. They were divorced. She later married Leonard VanDerLinden. He is deceased. She worked as a Home Care Aide for various families for many years, retiring in 1997. She loved going to yard sales and baking for family and friends. Survivors include: her daughter, Carolyn "Sue" Prine of Cambridge; son, William "Bill" Young of Burleson, TX; grandchildren, Stacy (Joe) DeKema of Kewanee, IL, Noel Powers of Cambridge, Debbie Young of OK, Cryona Young of OK; great grandchildren; Ashley DyKema of Kewanee, Telea Young, Deona Young, Dominique Young, Kyona Young, and Nakica Young all of OK; sister, Nola Golden. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Jimmy Wayne and James Larry, 2 sisters, and 5 brothers .
