Funeral services for Margaret B. Martin, 84, Milan, are 11 AM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 3-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, Iowa City, IA. Mrs. Martin died Monday, February 27, 2006 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline. Margaret DeKeyrel was born October 6, 1921 in Illinois City, IL, the daughter of Rene and Helena (VanLandegen) DeKeyrel. She married Rex E. Martin, August 30, 1941 at St. Ambrose, Milan. He died July 12, 1988. Margaret worked as a cook at United Township High School and Hoffman School, retiring from the East Moline School District in 1988. She loved crossword puzzles, flower gardening, watching the Wheel of Fortune, but most of all her grandchildren. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law Mary Ann and Tom DeGraeve, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Colleen and Jim Gomez, Hampton, IL, a son Clyde Martin, Rock Island, grandchildren; Anna Marie DeGraeve, Michael P. DeGraeve, Deborah Schweska, Christine Cruz, Jennifer DeGraeve, Philip Gomez, Julie Finch, Joseph Gomez, Nicholas, Dustin and Amber Schweska, twenty great grandchildren, a great-great grandson, sisters Wilma Etter, Muscatine, IA, Dorothy Holladay, Milan and a brother Paul DeKeyrel, Illinois City.
