Margaret Y. Poelvoorde, 89, East Moline, died Tuesday December 25, 2012 at her home. Funeral services are 11 AM Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is 9-10:30 AM Friday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. Margaret was born July 28, 1923 in Grafton, IL, the only child of Oscar and Frances Allmendinger. She worked 30 years as a bookkeeper at the former Ben Franklin, East Moline. She married Arthur Poelvoorde on February 2, 1940 in Iowa City, IA. He died August 10, 1997. Survivors include her children, Diane (Richard) Keithley, Moline and David (Nancy) Poelvoorde, Fr. Lauderdale, FL, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband and son Dennis.
