Margaret A. Sims, 90, of Hampton, IL, died Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL. Private services will be held at a later date. Margaret Allison was born June 11, 1924, in Middleburg, KY, the daughter of John and Rose Phillips Allison. She married Albert Yeatts. She later married William "Bill" Sims. Margaret had been a beautician. She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed gardening, and was an avid reader. Survivors include her daughters, Phyllis Bert, Hampton, Betty (Kevin) Casey, Peoria, IL, and Margaret (Jim) Brown, Russell Springs, KY; son, Thomas (Janet) Yeatts, Carbon Cliff, IL, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Josephine Merrill; great granddaughters, Jenna and Lila Brivendine; brothers, John and Joseph Allison; son-in-law, Mike Bert.
