Private funeral services for Maria C. Calderon, 88, of Moline, IL, will be 10am Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline. The service will be live-streamed at that time at: https://www.facebook.com/VanHoeFuneralHome. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd, East Moline. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Calderon died Friday November 13, 2020, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Maria was born May 11, 1932, in Cupareo Salvatierra, Mexico, the daughter of Guillermo and Nicolasa (Villagomes) Calderon. She married Refugio R. Carmona in 1950, in San Nicolas De Los Agustinos. She enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Refugio; children, Evelia Hernandez Calderon, Raul Rojas Calderon, Agustin Rojas Calderon, Beatriz Rojas, Estela Rojas, Ramon Rojas, Carmen Rojas, Maria L. Rojas, and Elvira Rojas; many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Juan Rojas.
