Funeral services for Maria Ofelia Jimenez, 84, of East Moline, IL, will be 11 AM Saturday, January 4, 2025 at St. Bridget of Kildare, Catholic Church. Nyssa, Oregon (her hometown). Burial will be at Hilltop Memorial Cemetery, Nyssa. Visitation will be 9-11AM Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Jimenez passed away peacefully Friday 12/27/24.

Maria Ofelia Jimenez was born on 03/11/40 in Mexico, the daughter of Francisco & Virginia Martinez-Alvarez.

She married Esteban Jimenez on 12/2/56 in Piedras Negras Coahuila Mexico.

Her favorite pass times were family gatherings and cook outs at her house when she lived in Nyssa, Oregon.

Survivors include her 3 children, Maria Ofelia Maldonado (Salvador) of East Moline IL, Virginia Garcia of Nyssa, Oregon, and Arturo Jimenez (Maribel) of Nyssa, Oregon; her Grandkids, Maria Kristina & Jose Fernando Mora of Rock Island IL, Rey S. Grijalva of East Moline IL., Victor & Alyssa Maldonado of East Moline, Javier Maldonado (Jaime) of East Moline, Natalia Maldonado of Jacksonville Florida, Jose S. Maldonado of Lawrenceville GA, Esteban Maldonado (Marisol) of Rock Island & many other Grandkids & Great Grandkids; Siblings, Simon Alvarez (Guadalupe) of Eagle Pass Texas, Refugio Alvarez (Juanita) of Crystal City Texas, Benancio Alvarez (Juanita) of Crystal City, Texas, Rosa Rodriguez (Juan Antonio) of Eagle Pass, Texas, Juan Martinez (Janice) of Salem, Oregon, Gloria Vasquez (Baldemar) of Elkhart, Indiana, and Socorro Treviño, of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Esteban Jimenez; Daughters, Gloria Jaime and Juanita Jimenez; and Son, Lucio Jimenez.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family.
