Maria Guadalupe Mendoza, 60, of East Moline, IL, died Saturday, December 21, 2013 at her home. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:00PM. A funeral mass will be held in Mexico at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. Maria was born February 24, 1953 in Salvatierra, Guanajuato, Mexico, the daughter of Juan and Roberta Cortez Reyna. She married Silvestre Mendoza in Salvatierra. Survivors include her husband, Silvestre Mendoza, East Moline; daughter, Guadalupe Claudia Mendoza, Salvatierra; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; sister, Maria (Juan) Botello, South Bend, IN; brothers, Jose Louis (Anita) Mendoza, East Moline, Oliverio (Hortencia) Mendoza, East Moline, and Alfredo (Tere) Mendoza, East Moline.
