Funeral services for Marian Harksen, 90, of Alexander, AR, formerly of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 am Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. She died August 11, 2018, at Baptist Health Medical Center, Little Rock, AR.

Marian Sutterman was born March 22, 1928, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Maurice and Hilda Nelson Sutterman. She married Calvin "Cal" Freeland, November 20, 1948. She later married Lawrence "Larry" Harksen February 24, 1968, in Bettendorf, IA. She was a member of the National Honor Society through Rock Island High School. She did secretarial work for Coleman Florist, Lujack's, and 23 years at Frizzelle and Parsons Die Syncing Co.

She was a member of the former St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline, and currently at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Marian enjoyed singing in the choir at both churches.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Wilson, Alexander, AR, step daughters, Katherine (Dan) Hoeper, Texas, and Patricia (Carl) Colson, Davenport, IA; 5 grandchildren: several great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Caroline Kay Eilers, Monticello, IA; brother-in-law, Jerry Vietti, Peoria, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Patricia Vietti,  brother, Lawrence Sutterman, and son-in-law, Dan Wilson.
