Marie Gorishek, 95, of Bettendorf, Iowa, (formerly of LaSalle, Illinois) died March 24, 2018, at The Fountains Assisted Living Facility in Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3, 2018, from 4 to 7 PM at Hurst Funeral Home in LaSalle, Illinois, and on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, from 9:30-10:30 at St. Patrick's Church with Mass immediately following the visitation. Burial will be at St. Vincent's Cemetery in LaSalle. Marie was cherished by her family, friends, and those who knew her. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen and was famous for her potica. She spent time in her yard, making doilies, crocheting, watching all types of sports, and had a love for completing jigsaw puzzles. Marie is survived by her son Paul (Nancy) Gorishek, East Moline, IL, Amy (Terry) Snyder, Freemont, MI, Lois (Chuck) Sabino, Mt Juliet, TN, and Carol (Bryan) Leslie, Gillette, WY. Local Grandchildren: Lisa (Matt) Comeaux, East Moline, IL, Leslie (Brian) Gorishek Bleuer, East Moline, IL, Lindsay (Matt) Gorishek Kmoch, Moline, IL. Local great-grandchildren: Logan and Joshua Titus, Johanna Comeaux, Alec, Aidan, and Ella Gorishek Richardson, Gavin Broihier, Isabella and Marlee Bleuer, Lauren, Devin, and Bryn Kmoch. Marie was also blessed with eight non-local grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
