Funeral services for Marie Koehler, 101, of East Moline, are 11 AM Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be made to the church. Marie died Friday, April 17, 2009 at Aspen Care, Silvis. Marie Gritti was born December 7, 1907 in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Dominic and Martha (Papenthin) Gritti. She married Paul Koehler on October 16, 1928 in Dubuque. He died in May of 1986. Marie had worked at Ben Franklin in Silvis for about 5 years. She was a dedicated member of her church. Survivors include her sisters; Irene Bowman of Fort Dodge, IA, and Myrtle Meyer of Dubuque, a brother John Gritti of Minneapolis, MN and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul, her daughter Paula, two sisters and a brother.
