Marie O. Roberts, 94, of Silvis, passed away Thursday December 28, 2017 at Aspen Rehab and Health Care in Silvis where she was a resident. Graveside services will be held 10:00AM Wednesday January 3, 2018 at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to her family. She was born May 17, 1923 in Pocahontas County, Iowa a daughter of Henry and Barbara (Wagner) Theesfeld. She married Dale Roberts in Estherville, IA, and they later divorced. Later, she lived several years with her companion, Francis Huggins. Marie had previously worked at Regal Lanes and East Moline Manor for several years. She was a lifelong homemaker, enjoyed bowling, visiting Branson, MO to see Boxcar Willie, and always loved music and entertaining people and residents at Aspen Rehab. She was especially known for her yodeling and being an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She loved her family, and always said "they're not spoiled, they're just loved!" Marie is survived by her children: Linda Roberts of Moline, and Dennis (Karen) Roberts of East Moline; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; 2-sisters and 1 brother, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, companion: Francis, 10 brothers and sisters, and a grandson: Albert Larson.
