Funeral service for Marie E. Wheelock, 97, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-7 Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30PM. Mrs. Wheelock died Wednesday, March 05, 2008 at Forest Hill Health and Rehab Center, East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church. Marie E. Sharrar was born April 4, 1910 in Muscatine, IA the daughter of George and Bess (Gottchalg) Sharrar, the oldest of seven children. She married Clint Williams in 1936 in Davenport, IA. He died in 1953. She later married Fred Wheelock in 1954 in Davenport. He died in 1977. She had been a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. She loved doing puzzles and crossword puzzles. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, David Williams and Dorothy Mladenka of Houston, TX, William and Carol Williams of Dayton, OH; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren; sister Rita Youngquist; Sonoma, CA; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Anna Sharrar of East Moline; several nieces and nephews.
