Marilyn L. Hacker, 79, East Moline, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Unity Point-Trinity, Rock Island. Visitation is 2-5PM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, with a time of sharing to be held at 5PM. Memorials may be made to the family. Private family committal will be held at St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline, at a later date. Marilyn was born on March 23, 1937 in Jefferson Co., Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Gertie (McCreery) Ireland. She married Richard Alexander on June 21, 1958. He passed away on January 8, 1964. She married William Hacker on April 24, 1965. He passed on May 3, 1976. Marilyn had worked as a secretary at the John Deere Administrative Building for 9 years before quitting, to raise her family. She then worked as a legal secretary for a law firm in Rock Island, IL. Later she worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart for 15 years until she retired in August of 2013. Survivors include her children; Karen O'Neil, North Port, Florida, Sharon (Jeff) Krack, East Moline, Brian (Selena) Hacker, Monticello, IL and Marilee (Darrell) Harmening, East Moline, ten grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, a sister, son-in-law Michael O'Neil, and a granddaughter, Audrey Harmening.
