Funeral services for Marilyn J. Moore, 76, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:30 AM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd. East Moline, IL, burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Wednesday (today) at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Mrs. Moore died Monday, May 30, 2005 at her home. Memorials may be made to the family. Marilyn Dismer was born June 28, 1928 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Charles and Augusta (Kolbig) Dismer. She married Ralph Moore, October 19, 1946, in Davenport, IA. He died May 6, 1994. Her family was her life, their health and safety her deepest concern. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her family and many friends will remember her as spirited and outgoing, always ready for wit and lively conversation. Many in the area will remember seeing Marilyn at local bingo games. Although her failing health limited her activities, Marilyn's mind remained sharp. She had many talents and was musically gifted. She was an excellent vocalist and composed several ballads. Survivors include: daughters and son-in-law, Dianna Hook of East Moline, IL, Debra and Michael Pierce of East Moline, IL; sons and daughter-in-law, Dennis Moore of Davenport, IA, Derryl and Joy Moore of Bettendorf, IA, David Moore of Camanche, IA; grandchildren, Angie Hook, Damon Hook, Scotty Harris, Jeremy Harris, Ashley Harris and Chelsea Moore; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Helen Dismer of Rock Island, IL. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and daughter in-law, Nancy Moore who died in 2004. Marilyn will be sadly missed by her friends and family.
