Marilyn Sinclair, 75, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022, at home. Cremation rites have been accorded, per the family's wishes.
Marilyn was born August 2, 1946 in LaHarpe, Illinois, the daughter of William Carroll and Reva Landry. She went to Central Junior High in Rock Island, and then went on to work Connie's Restaurant and Hasty Tasty, both in Moline. She married Donald Solis in Milan, Illinois, then James DelMastro in Florida later on in life. She then married Kenneth Sinclair on September 22, 2014. He preceded her in death June 22, 2015. Marilyn worked at St. Anthony's for 18 years as a CNA Head Aide. She moved to Florida and obtained another CNA position, an OPT Aide position, moved back to Rock Island and worked for St. Anthony's for an additional 2 years.
She bowled at Sammy G. Lanes in East Moline for 8 years and was head of the team for 6 years in the league. Marilyn loved camping, making dolls, traveling with her husband, fishing, and music. She loved working with the elderly, and she was exceptionally good at it.
Survivors include her sons, Victor Solis, Belton, South Carolina, John Solis, Hudson, FL, Thomas Solis, Moline, IL, Anthony Solis, Moline, IL; step-children, Kevin, Ashley, Briana; ten grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and her brother Freddie Carroll, Rock Island, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her darling husband, Kenneth "Babe" Sinclair, Jr., siblings, Harold Carroll, Marliss Roberts, Ronald Hoover, Dwayne Gillmore, and Alanna Krack. May they all rest in peace, and God bless everyone.
