Funeral services for Marilynn Leppo Andon, 84, East Moline, are 8AM Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 3-7PM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials to Monsignor William J. Cleary Endowment fund or Genesis Hospice. Marilynne died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at her home. Born to Elmer & Maxine Miller on September 9, 1926 in Fairview, IL. Attended Trinity Lutheran school and Immaculate Conception Academy in Davenport, IA. She married Joseph G. Leppo in June 16 1946. She worked at JC Penney (downtown Moline store) for many years. She started working at Bank of Silvis in fall 1974 in customer service until she retired in 1993. She married Peter Andon in April 1993. In the past, Marilynne was involved in the community as the past president of Junior Women's Club of East Moline (14th District), a charter member of the Left Bank Art League, member of St. Anne's parish, Quad City Botanical Center, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and the Silvis Garden Club. She traveled the world with her faithful friends Helen Carter and Marion Vermiere. She loved to garden, shop and play Uno. She will be sadly missed by her beloved dog Mollie. She wants everyone to know she hated doing the dishes. Thanks to her neighbors especially Don & Jan Sheesley. She is survived by children Lanny (Cathy) Leppo, Moline, and Holly Schneider, East Moline. 8 Grandchildren Tammie Duncan (Jim Scott), Marcie (Scott) Faulkner, Jaret Gelande, Joseph (Akiko) Leppo, Amy Rodriguez, Brian Leppo, Gary (Jessica) Schneider Jr. and Sarah (Andy) Geest. 12 Great grandchildren Alex & Kalie Duncan, Zachary & Nicholas Faulkner, Joey, Anthony & Joshua Leppo, AJ Rodriguez, Hailey & Addison Schneider and Conner & Gavin Geest. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother George Noble, husbands and her daughter Suzanne Gelande.
