Funeral services for Marion Gale Woltkamp, 91, East Moline, will be 10:00 AM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Coal Valley Township Cemetery, Coal Valley, IL. Visitation is 2:00-5:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Community Christian Church, Moline or QC Paws. Marion died Friday, November 7, 2008 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. Marion Brown was born November 12, 1916 in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of Rosco and Gertrude (Kenny) Brown. She married Francis "Bud" Nelson June 15, 1935 in Galesburg, IL. She later married Lawrence "Dutch" Woltkamp in October of 1971 in Rock Island, IL. He died September 8, 1978. She had worked for over 20 years at the former AMTEK, East Moline, where she had been a steel scheduler. She had been a "Red Hat Lady". Marion loved going out to lunch, reading, and shopping at Von Maur. She had a special bird named JoJo. Survivors include: daughters and son-in-law Glenda and Jim Vyncke, Andover,IL, Laura Nelson of Woodhull, IL, son Howard and Diana Nelson of Coal Valley, 17 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; brother, Chauncey Brown of Galesburg; sister-in-law Connie Brown of Galesburg. She is preceded in death by her husbands, a son Ray Nelson, a brother Ralph Brown, and grandsons, Darrell Vyncke and James Nelson.
