Marjorie Faye (Gilmore) Hoover, 76, of Wauwatosa, WI, formerly of Colona died on Thursday March 5, 2009. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. Marjorie was born August 30, 1932 in Lawrence County, MO, the daughter of Bonwell and Bessie (Daniel) Gilmore. She married Arley Hoover on October 27, 1950. Marjorie was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Coal Valley. She had a strong faith in God especially through all her illness. She is in heaven now and in no pain. She was known for her great sense of humor, as a good cook, and for her caring, forgiving nature. She was an avid reader and walker. She loved spending time with her friends and family. Survivors include her husband Arley, daughters Carol Jan (Richard) Burkeybile of Colona, Shirley (Joseph) Robarge, Wauwatosa, WI, grandchildren Jared Burkeybile, Rachel Robarge, Paul Robarge and Jacob Robarge, sisters; Thelma Kolassa of Ash Grove, MO, Hazel Nicholson of Snohomish, WA, Ann (Bob) Keith of Ash Grove and Esther Gilmore, Ash Grove, and brothers; Herman (Gladys) Gilmore of Bois D'Arc, MO and Gene (Carol) Gilmore of Ash Grove. A brother Coy preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.vanhoe.com.
