Obituary

Funeral services for Marjorie Jane Lonstad, 90, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be one half hour prior to services on Thursday. Mrs. Lonstad passed away Saturday, February 16 2008, at Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Marjorie Ronning was born December 3, 1917 in Fergus Falls, MN, The daughter of Syver and Esther (Holmquist) Ronning. She graduated from Fergus Falls High School. She married Melvin Lonstad April 7, 1936 in Sisseton, SD. He died December 20, 1969. She had worked at Servus Rubber Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1979. Marjorie was a very talented artist in the field of ceramics and oil painting. Marjorie enjoyed her weekly golf sessions, retiring her clubs when she was 84 years old. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Marsell of East Moline; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Karen Lonstad of Colona, IL, Brian and Margaret Lonstad of Vancouver, WA; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Vendla and Rev. John Fahning of New Hope MN; sister-in-law, Thelma Ronning of Cheyenne, WY; and a "special daughter", Patricia Ogden of East Moline. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Lorraine, Brother, Ralph, and a grandson, Kevin M. Marsell. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.vanhoe.com.
