Marjorie “Margie” A. Kipp, 96, of Hampton, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial is at Hampton Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Susan G. Comen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Marjorie was born on April 19, 1930, in Moline, the daughter of John and Millie VanderBeke. She married George “John” Kipp, on September 21, 1957. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2004. Marjorie graduated from United Township High school class of 1948. She worked as a telephone operator, worked at John Deere, and retired after 20 years as a postmaster in Rapids City. She was an avid cross stitcher, crochet and knitting, and loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren very much.

She is survived by her son, Jon Kipp, Huntley, IL; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and John Roche, Moline, and daughter, Judy Kipp, East Moline; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Al Kipp. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Kipp; parents; and sister, Marian Strandgard.
