Marjorie Speer, 93, Silvis, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021, at Genesis Illini, Silvis. Funeral services are 10 AM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the River Bend Food Bank.

Marjorie Fisher was born on July 22, 1928 in Viola, IL, the daughter of Willis and Anna (Slavish) Fisher. She married Roger Speer on May 20, 1950 in Rock Island. Roger died 21 years ago to the day of Marjorie. She retired as the Secretary to the Superintendent and Board of Education for the East Moline School District 37 in the mid 1980's. She enjoyed bowling in her early years. Marjorie loved time spent with family and dearly loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children; Sandra Williams, East Moline, David Speer, Silvis, Bruce Speer, Moline and Wayne (Laurie) Speer, Geneseo, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert Fisher.
