Funeral services for Mark Ballheimer, 55, of Carbondale, IL, formerly of East Moline, IL, will be 3:00 pm Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home and Crematory, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Moline, IL. Mr. Ballheimer died Thursday, August 4, 2016, at his sisters home in East Moline. Mark was born November 14, 1960, in Moline, IL, the son of John and Louise Taylor Ballheimer. He served in the US Army. Mark had worked at various jobs in the Quad City area and in Carbondale. Mark loved sports, especially baseball. When he played baseball with the Silvis Little League, he pitched a no hitter. He was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan. Survivors include his son, Jamie Westfall, Moline; mother, Louise Woods, East Moline; father, John Ballheimer, Pinckneyville, IL; sisters, Kathy Davis, Lakeland, FL, Wyman (Shirley)Woods, NC, Lynn (Tad) Elder, East Moline, and Deanna Woods, Camanche, IA; special friend, Judy Sims, Carbondale; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Ballheimer; sister, Gay Freeman; stepmother, Rose Ballheimer; and stepfather Jack Woods. Memorials may be made to the Genesis Hospice.
