Mark R. Platt, 73, Coal Valley, passed away at the home of his daughter Anna, on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 in Kewanee. Graveside services will be held at 1PM Friday at Greenview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Mark was born July 12, 1945 in Moline, the son of Russell and Frances (Hodgson) Platt. He married Beverly Lucas on December 10, 1963 in Green Rock. She died June 10, 2013. He retired from John Deere Harvester in 1999. Mark enjoyed coffee at McDonald's, family camping trips, Infowars, and was a Cardinal fan.

Survivors include his children; Randy Platt, Wapello, IA, Anita Frederick, Sheridon, IL, Anna (Ron) Martin, Kewanee, David (Julie) Platt, Galva and Daniel (Elizabeth) Platt, Clinton, grandchildren; Justin, Rick, Drake, Jake, Jesse, Ryann, Savannah and one on the way, and three great grandchildren with one on the way.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by daughter, Annette, son, Steve, his parents and sister, Martha.
