Funeral services for Marlene Skinner-Lindell, 87, of Silvis, IL, will be 4pm Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Visitation will be from 1-4 pm prior to services. Private burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Mrs. Skinner-Lindell passed away Monday, September 26, 2022, at her home.

Marlene Pauwels was born July 24, 1935, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Maurice and Bessie (Schmidt) Pauwels. She married Dan Lindell May 15, 1999, in East Moline. In her earlier years Marlene worked at Illini Hospital, Silvis, and later retired from the Moline Housing Authority. Marlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who adored her family. She enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packer on television.

Survivors include her husband, Dan Lindell, Silvis; daughters, Jill (Walter) Coussens, Cordova, Janna (Charles) Cox, Davenport, IA, JoEtta Catterton, East Moline, and Jina (Larry) Newman, Andover, IL; step daughter, Michelle Marie (Greg) Martin, Silvis; grandchildren, Casey Coussens, Charles Cox Jr., Katie Cox, Kendra (Kevin) Hackett, Corey (Danielle) Catterton, Lara (Nate) Henry, Luke Newman, Thomas Newman (Savannah Barsema), Autumn ("Nacho") Gonzalez, Valerie Vols, and Jeremy (Taylor) Vols; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
