Funeral services for Marlowe (Wagner Angelos) Suess, 82, of Davenport, IA, will be 10 am Friday at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior at church, Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Mrs. Suess passed away peacefully Saturday, March 5, 2022, at her home.

Marlowe Wagner was born August 29, 1939, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Clifford and Linnea (Carlson) Wagner. She married Gus J. Angelos March 24, 1961, in Moline. He passed away August 16, 2005. She later married Donald Suess October 11, 2008. He passed away February 3, 2021.

Marlowe worked for several years at the Rock Island County Health Department. She was passionate about most anything that was presented to her. She loved her grandchildren so much she always wanted to be involved, whether it was watching their sporting events (softball, basketball, or football) or just being together on the holidays. She was a member of the Moline Culture Club, an active member at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, where she belonged to the Philoptochos Society. She and Don were snowbirds and enjoyed traveling and dancing. She was very talented at making cards and baking Greek pastries.

Survivors include her children, John (Laura) Angelos, Lynn Center, IL, and Christine Sheley, Davenport; step daughter, Kathy Quillin, East Moline; grandchildren, Nick Angelos, Katie Angelos, Alexa Stombaugh, Brady Stombaugh, and Carson Stombaugh; sister, Lin (Robert) Nelson, Towanda, IL; and sister-in-law, Ginger Wagner, NY.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brother, Steve Wagner; and son-in-law, Brynn Sheley.

Memorials may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
