Funeral services for Martha R. Goderis, 92, Moline, are 10 AM Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment is in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Martha died Sunday, February 26, 2006 at her home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Martha Popelier was born November 3, 1913 in Schuyffers Kapelle, West Flanders, Belgium, the daughter of Ivo and Alida (VanSteenhuyse) Popelier. She married Palmer Goderis, May 3, 1933 in East Moline. He died August 13, 1997. Martha loved crocheting blankets for each new addition to her family. Survivors include a daughter Arline Hahn, Moline, son and daughter-in-law Richard and Sheila Goderis, East Moline, six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.
