Martha Jane Arnold Willis, 71, East Moline, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer at her home. Funeral services are 1:30 PM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Moline Church of Christ. Visitation is 4-7PM Thursday at the funeral home. Martha was born on December 2, 1942 in Macomb, IL, the daughter of Ira R. and Mary E. (Moore) Arnold. She married Melvin Willis on November 25, 1965 in East Moline. She and her husband owned and operated Midtown Auto Sales, retiring in 2008. Martha had also worked for the State of Illinois and the Moline Water Department. She and Melvin enjoyed wintering in Arizona. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Melvin, children (spouses), Joanna (Bill) McGinnis, Colona, and Tim (Angie) Willis, Farmington MN, grandchildren, Andrew (Hailey) McGinnis, Amanda (Matt) Driskell, and Sarah Willis, great granddaughter Ella Driskell, and siblings, Bill Arnold, Littleton, IL, Jean Wilson, Galesburg, IL, Chester Arnold, Hettick, IL, Tom Arnold, Gibsonton, FL, Florence (Bob) Dunn, East Moline and Mildred Arnold, Macomb, IL, and her "Honorary family, David and Rosa Adame and their children Fernando and Sophia of El Paso, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Buck, Calvin, Jim and Jerry.
