Graveside services for Martin F. McMahon, 74, of East Moline, IL, will be 9:00AM Thursday at Rock Island National Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend the graveside service should be at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline by 8:30 AM Thursday. Visitation will be 3:00-6:00PM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home. Mr. McMahon died Monday, June 17, 2013 at his home. The family requests you remember Martin by donating to your favorite charity through the John Deere Classic Birdies for Charity. Martin was born March 10, 1939 in Davenport, IA, the son of Martin and Viola Jaegar McMahon. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Judith Hansen in 1966. They had four children. He later married Cathleen Helenthal. He retired from the Rock Island Arsenal in 1990, where he had been a Program Manager. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Post 299. Survivors include his wife Cathleen McMahon, East Moline; daughter, Erin; sons, Sean and Michael, all of Davenport; grandchildren, Reid, Abby, Meredith, Ian, Claire, Michael, and Caden.
